The feature helps narrow down preferences and create efficiency. The meaning behind the feature is that it can promote to other individuals that you are job searching. There are various preferences and visibility options that you can adjust on the platform. In the next section, I will explain how you can add Open to Work to your LinkedIn profile. Recruiters can see your preferences by adding the option to your profile. Open to Work can help indicate that you are looking for a new job on LinkedIn. You can view jobs after applying to them when you log into your account. When you choose the “All LinkedIn Members” option, LinkedIn mentions that the Open to Work photo frame will appear on your profile. You can choose an option that aligns with your preferences when adding the Open to Work option to your profile. When you go to turn on Open to Work, there will be a section labeled “Choose who sees you’re open.” This section is where you can see the visibility options. In a later section, I will explain how to use Open to Work and show it on your profile. The pop-up confirms that you want to delete the “Job preferences” from your profile, and you can tap “Delete” again to remove it. At the bottom of the job preference menu, tap “Delete from profile,” and a pop-up will appear. Go to your profile on the LinkedIn app and tap the pencil button in the right corner of the “Open to work” section. You should see a LinkedIn notification at the bottom of the page saying, “Your job preferences have been deleted.” You can confirm by refreshing your profile to make sure it was removed. The section will no longer appear on your profile after you remove it by following the above instructions. This feature on your LinkedIn profile allows you to let everyone on LinkedIn or just recruiters know that you are open to finding a new job opportunity.
